Terms of Service
1. About This Service
Karthus WPA Analyzer (“the Service”) is a free, research-oriented web application that uses the Riot Games API to retrieve publicly available League of Legends match data and compute Win Probability Added (WPA) statistics for the champion Karthus. The Service is developed and maintained by Maxfield Ma as an independent research project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Attempt to scrape, automate, or mass-query the Service in a manner that circumvents normal usage
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any individual player
- Misrepresent the Service's output as official Riot Games data or rankings
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
4. Data and Accuracy
The Service retrieves publicly available match data via the Riot Games API. All win probability and WPA figures are statistical estimates generated by a machine learning model trained on historical game data. They are not official rankings, endorsements, or guarantees of player skill. Model accuracy improves with more data; results from a small sample of games should be interpreted with caution.
5. Availability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always up to date. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
6. Intellectual Property
The code for this project is open source and available under the MIT License on GitHub. League of Legends, Riot Games, and all associated names, logos, and assets are trademarks of Riot Games, Inc. and are used under the Riot Games API Terms of Service. This Service is not produced by, endorsed by, or in any way affiliated with Riot Games.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Maxfield Ma shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
